Today’s sermon, brings us to James 1:19-21, a crash course on character. James has been consistently firing massively important subjects at us so far in this series, and today is no exception. Again, James challenges us as believers to put feet to our faith and prove its authenticity through how we live. We aren’t saved to be dormant, we are saved to produce fruit! Character is a great indication of the fruit in our lives. Our character is best seen through how we listen, how we speak and how we address our anger. With clarity, James teaches we must be slow to speak and quick to hear - how often do we live like this command is reversed? We must TRASH our sin, and put on the Word of God.
