True salvation always brings about real transformation. As 2 Corinthians 5:17 reminds us, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come!” (ESV). The moment we are justified—saved—is also the moment we begin the journey of sanctification. We leave behind our old life and step into a new life following Christ. Though sin continues to tempt us, as we grow in obedience, faith, and holiness while remaining connected to Christ, we find ourselves sinning less and less. And we carry this hope with us—that one day, in His presence, we will be made completely sinless forever.
