When we celebrate the birth of Christ, do we seriously consider the mind-blowing reality that our omniscient, perfect God selflessly humbled himself and came to earth as a baby? In this incarnation, God did not forsake his divine nature or diminish his deity but instead he added to it, humanity. Christ's submission to the Father, all part of his great plan to redeem and to save. What an amazing gift, what an awesome God!
