We often hear 'trials' in life referred to as 'storms'. In today's message, the disciples face a literal storm on the Sea of Galilee. Surrounded by darkness, violent winds and waves crashing over their modest fishing boat, fear and anxiety overcomes them as they encounter physical danger and possible death. Suddenly, in the midst of the chaos, the disciples see their beloved Jesus walking on the water towards them and their spirits lifted, knowing Jesus is there. It is through the tempests of life that we grow the most, change the most, increase faith the most and realize our need for Christ the most.
