Conversely, when our thoughts are firmly set on the Lord, the result is a life that is filled with gratitude, wisdom and clarity. Romans 12:2 warns us not to be conformed to the world, but instead to be transformed by the renewal of our minds. In Psalm 73, Asaph recalls when his negative thoughts caused him to stumble and then distanced him from God - the battle in his mind led to a battle in his heart and eventually, despair.
