God has graciously given each of us the gift of free will, which means that we have the freedom to make choices in life. However, when we make selfish choices that are contrary to God's word, we soon find ourselves in sin, grieving the Holy Spirit, and his power in our lives is lost. There are severe consequences when we compromise God's truth, but there is also great blessing when we pursue conviction, standing firm in the truth and abiding Christ.
