We live in a world saturated with deception—especially when it comes to the character of God. Culture often spreads lies, painting a distorted picture of who He is, even suggesting that He is capable of wrongdoing or harm. Christianity is frequently misrepresented in the media as a source of hatred and bigotry. But it’s precisely because of this confusion that God has given us His Word—to expose falsehood and fill our minds with truth. In this message, James 1:16–18, we are urged not to be deceived. Instead, we are called to renew our minds and remember what is actually true about our God. He is good, generous, trustworthy, faithful, and unchanging. Every good and perfect gift comes from Him—including all the blessings we enjoy in this life, and most importantly, the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. God, the “Father of Lights,” remains constant and unshaken in a world full of shifting values and unstable truths. In love, James reminds us today of the incredible God we serve—one who is always and only good.
