Jesus is the ultimate peacemaker - he is the "Prince of Peace." Through His death and resurrection, He reconciled sinful humanity to God, bringing peace between us and our Creator. As believers strive to become more like Christ, it naturally follows that we, too, are called to be peacemakers. Today's message reminds us that while Christ came to bring peace, He endured great persecution in the process. Similarly, as Christians, we should expect to face persecution as we stand firm in our faith and remain obedient to His word. Paul reminds us in 2 Timothy 3:12, "Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted." In this final Beatitude, take comfort in knowing that when we are persecuted for righteousness' sake, God's blessings will follow!
