What does it mean to truly belong to the Lord? In Deuteronomy 7, God reminds His people of their identity, security, and spiritual blessing, not because of who they are, but because of who He is. As we walk through this passage, we'll see that the blessing of belonging to the Lord is utterly unmatched. There is nothing in this life—achievement, relationship, or possession—that can compare to the blessing of belonging to the Lord. As followers of Christ, we are constantly being called back to this identity: to remember who we are in Christ, to live for what truly matters, and to hold loosely the treasures of earth and cling tightly to the promises of heaven.
