In today's passage, Jesus says, "No one can serve two masters." He explains that people cannot serve both God and money (or wealth). A person will inevitably choose one to prioritize over the other. This message reinforces the idea that one's ultimate allegiance must be to God, as divided loyalty will lead to spiritual failure. Christ warns us to maintain a clear, focused vision on God and beware of t the dangers of divided priorities, particularly the temptation to worship wealth.
