Today we consider how the way we think impacts the way we live. When our thoughts are consumed by worldly influences, the result is a life that is distracted, unsatisfied and filled with despair. Conversely, when our thoughts are firmly set on the Lord, the result is a life that is filled with gratitude, wisdom and clarity. Romans 12:2 warns us not to be conformed to the world, but instead to be transformed by the renewal of our minds. In Psalm 73, Asaph recalls when his negative thoughts caused him to stumble and then distanced him from God - the battle in his mind led to a battle in his heart and eventually, despair.
God has graciously given each of us the gift of free will, which means that we have the freedom to make choices in life....
