Today's message brings us to James 1:9-11. The book of James is well known for its practical wisdom, often called the ‘Proverbs of the New Testament,’ and today is a great example of that. In James, we have learned about trials, about wisdom, and today, we learn about the realities of the rich and the poor. Our world exalts the earthly rich, but our God does the opposite. The physically rich have no spiritual advantage over the poor. Because even when you have nothing on the earth, you can have everything in Christ! Let the gospel take root in your life today and show you the temporal world is undependable and there is nothing more valuable than your identity in Christ. Through salvation, regardless of economic state, we are co-heirs with Christ! Our bank accounts mean nothing in eternity! Do we believe that?
